Kiwi! (via Madyeti47)
shah: i remember watching this video about two years back and realised how good a story it was telling. a kiwi and its dream.
it may seem ridiculous to some but i have a weird sense of the animator telling me something through this story. that everyone should and could make their dreams come through.
in singapore, there are less and less people who really have dreams to follow that come from the heart. unless, studying hard, getting married, working hard and chasing after money your whole life is a dream. it may be realistic and practical but dreams are not about being realistic. not to me anyway.
dreams are about the heart. dreams are about talents or joys. dreams are not easy to follow because they may seem to deviate from the normal way of life. dreams are romantic.
i dream of leaving singapore and roaming around the world. i also dream of doing that with someone by my side. and therefore i dream of falling in love again. i also dream of owning my own volkswagen type 2 microbus and living in it. everyday living life to the fullest and when the universe tells me to, i move. always moving to newer magical places.
maybe one day, my dreams will come true.
Coca Cola - Inside the Happiness Factory part I (via 28stieren)
shah: happiness in a bottle… it can be achieved and there is a whole documentary about the Empire of Vending where coca cola is manufactured.
i love how all the characters speak and tell us the secret to their jobs. one “guy” says he smiles for 10 minutes before he sleeps and after he wakes up. another “lady” says she gives coca cola her loyalty. another talks about her boundless positive energy. so many people for one product.
in fact i think this is just like the real world. if all the employees in an organisation are as happy at their jobs and so full of life and energy, the workplace could be so much happier. it is not that difficult to be happy always but it may not be easiest way of life for the people now. especially the complaint kings and queens who find fault in anything.
i always tell myself that i will not work because of the money. when i find a suitable employment, it is because it agrees with principles that i hold and because i am making a positive difference in someone’s life. but that may be too romantic an ideal to follow. when it is my turn to look for a job, and when i find a job, i will look back to this post and see if i have followed through with my ideals or have given up on them.
anyway, just come watch this short documentary AND BE HAPPY!
